Agrovision acquires LayerManager

Agrovision B.V. in Deventer has acquired LayerManager from Hoeve Advies. LegManager is the management program for layer farmers that provided information online about the technical and financial results of the farmer’s own business and that of his colleagues.

Discussions about collaboration led to the acquisition of LayerManager and a long-lasting collaboration between Hoeve Advies and Agrovision. As a poultry specialist, Hoeve Advies remains involved in the further development of the program.

LayerManager provides layer farmers with information about the result of their brood(s) with respect to the broods of their layer farming colleagues. Not only affairs such as laying percentages, egg weights and feed usage can be compared with other broods, but also feed prices and egg prices. Users can themselves choose with which group they want to make comparisons, and what data they make available for comparison.

Benchmark

Agrovision is extending the existing benchmarking possibilities, also at the request of the mixed feed industry. For their layer-farming clients, the mixed feed industry sees the importance of realising and comparing accurate results, and in that way to positively influence the operating profit.

With the benchmark that will shortly be operational, agricultural sector partners such as mixed feed suppliers, hatcheries and banks will gain insight into the indicators in the poultry sector.
