What we are looking for
Do you want to bring innovation in our food production? AgroVision is a leading company focussed on improving the agricultural industry through innovative software solutions. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated full-stack software developer to join our dynamic Pigs team. If you are interested to learn more about agriculture and have expertise in C# and Angular, we are looking for you!
In our Pigs scrum team, you are collaborating to design, develop and maintain robust and scalable cloud software. You take ownership of end-to-end software development process. You assist other developers in your team with sparring sessions, some pair programming and by providing constructive feedback on code reviews. You also provide your expertise to the team in discussions on architecture and future plans.
Your skills
You are practical, solution oriented and have at least three years of experience as a software developer (or a similar role). The following statements could be written about you:
- You are a true full-stack developer who likes to work on all aspects of software development. You know your way in a technology stack consisting of C# (.NET 8), SQL-Server, Angular, TypeScript, HTML and (S)CSS.
- Familiar with Azure, Scrum, automated testing and version control systems (e.g., git).
- Inspirational mentor, a real team player, assisting less-senior developers in the team with their tasks and challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Our offering
The Pigs software development team consists of three scrum teams. Each scrum team is responsible for their own product serving (pig) farmers all over Europe. The team consists of a Product Owner, a business analyst, a dedicated tester and between 3 and 5 software developers. The experience in the team ranges from colleagues who just started their career to colleagues with over 20 years of experience.
The Pigs software development team is part of the Innovations department of AgroVision, consisting of about 60 colleagues, working from Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands.
By organising several events, we ensure your knowledge on the agricultural market and software development keeps growing. Each month we invite a guest speaker to talk about innovative and emerging technologies and software development principles. We provide everyone the time and materials to work on your personal development.
